Ecometric are excited to welcome Alexander Jevons as its first Chief Operating Officer.

Alexander joins Ecometric from Agreena as former Commercial Director leading MRV sales globally. Prior to this he was part of the founding team & CEO of Hummingbird Technologies when it was acquired by Agreena in 2022. His early career was in asset management with a focus on sustainable investment leading to his transition into sustainability and climate-related businesses.

On his appointment, Alexander Jevons commented:

"The credibility of the Voluntary Carbon Market will only be rebuilt by robust, transparent and open processes that are seen to deliver against true sustainability standards; durable, credible carbon capture, delivering positive impacts on the lands under management and ensuring the commercial viability of the supplier, the hard-pressed farming community and those who rely on their outputs.

“Ecometric distinguishes itself. Not only does it define a new methodology in its avoidance of modelling to deliver high integrity, sample-driven and AI analysed credits, but also in its investment in on-ground services that enable farming communities to maximise the long-term benefit of enhanced soil organic carbon as stewards of the land.”

Ecometric’s methodology is transparent and subject to rigorous peer review, ensuring stakeholders receive the assurances they require. For land managers, they provide detailed data to enhance the management of inputs, improve soil quality and harness carbon capture for revenue through credits. Carbon markets benefit from confidence in high-integrity and high-accuracy carbon credits, reducing risk and enhancing the overall value of carbon trades. Corporate buyers secure validated, traceable and credible offsets with long-term security, promoting sustainability in their operations.

Further, Ecometric empowers the supply chain by enabling the quantification of carbon footprints, paving the way for meaningful contributions to decarbonisation efforts. David Wright, Founder of Ecometric, added:

“What distinguishes Ecometric from the market is its commitment to accuracy, affordability and scalability. Now proven our business model is repeatable around the world. Alexander's appointment will enhance our leadership in carbon credit integrity, and on empowering farmers and land managers around the globe.

“We look forward to the continued growth and success of the company under his leadership and to making a significant impact on the global effort to combat climate change.”
